In an impressive display of skill and determination, Cayman Cycling’s Chris Bodden completed at the Caribbean Cycling Championships in Guyana this past weekend. Battling through a challenging 36KM Time Trial on a hot, and windy highway course, Chris secured an admirable 6th place in the Elite Men category, showcasing his resilience and athletic prowess.
The following day, Chris faced another daunting challenge as he tackled the grueling 155KM Road Race. From the start, competitors were met with extreme heat and relentless attacks, pushing every rider to their limits. Despite giving his all on this demanding course, Chris unfortunately joined a number of other athletes who were unable to finish, with only 13 out of 74 starters crossing the finish line. This outcome highlighted just how grueling the race truly was.
As the international season came to a close, Cayman Cycling expressed immense pride in Chris’s grit and heart, as well as in all those who donned the Cayman national team colors throughout 2024. The team looks forward to an exciting year ahead in 2025!
