The 2025 May Classics, proudly presented by The Catalyst Group, delivered a month of exhilarating racing, fierce competition, and community celebration. With four electrifying race days spanning the island — plus the crowd-favorite Kiddies Dash — this year’s edition solidified Cayman Cycling’s signature series as a can’t-miss spectacle for racers and fans alike.
Race 1: The West Bay Circuit – A Blazing Kickoff
The series launched in top gear on the Esterley Tibbetts Bypass, where Race 1 brought high-speed drama, technical cornering, and tactical battles through West Bay. Sprint points were contested fiercely at every Green Jersey marker, setting the tone for a fiercely competitive series.

Race 2: South Sound Time Trial – Beating the Clock
Next up: an all-out battle against time on the Fit Check TT Course in South Sound. Over 30 riders took the line in an event defined by focus, aerodynamic form, and pure power.
💪 A standout moment: 10-year-old Leo Gould, the youngest competitor, showed grit well beyond his years — proving passion has no age limit!

With flawless logistics and passionate support on course, the TT was a resounding success — and momentum was building fast.
Race 3: East End Circuit – Heat, Heart & High Drama
Under blistering 90+°F heat, riders took on their biggest challenge yet. The East End Circuit delivered on its reputation: relentless, scenic, and punishing.
- 🌀 Cat 4, Masters, Super Masters, and Women raced two 18.7-mile laps.
- 👊 Ryan Thompson, initially set for just one lap in Juveniles, launched a daring breakaway — holding a 2-minute lead to win after two laps!
In the main field, Cat 1–3 riders battled across 56.1 brutal miles. Surges, attacks, and fatigue took their toll, culminating in a crash during the final lap. Three riders were involved, with one requiring medical attention — our thoughts are with them for a swift recovery.

Kiddies Dash – The Future of Cayman Cycling
Following the elite action, the Kiddies Dash lit up the circuit with joy and enthusiasm. 44 young riders, ages 3 to 14, took to the course for a celebration of youth cycling like no other.
From training wheels to full gas efforts, the crowd roared for every single rider. The event, presented in partnership with the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise, was the biggest youth turnout yet — and a heartwarming reminder of what the future holds.
