The Championships offer a stage that brings together the best riders in the Cayman Islands, all competing for the highest cycling honour.
Being awarded the National Champion Jersey is one of the highest distinctions for any rider. Category winners will earn the right to don the Cayman Islands National Champion jersey – a uniquely styled Cayman Islands edition of a globally recognised symbol of cycling success.
Being selected to represent your country in anything you do is always an honor, and cycling is no different.
The National Championships will provide winning athletes in the Women’s Elite, Under 23 & Elite Men’s categories a pathway towards eligibility to represent Cayman at the Caribbean Cycling Championships later in the year.
Standing atop the podium, the newly crowned National Champions will hoist a uniquely Caymanian award.
Crafted by local artisan Horacio Esteban, our National Champions receive a one-of- kind symbol of their success – a sculpted piece of Caymanite – a mineral found beneath Grand Cayman’s East End and the Bluff in Cayman Brac.
